Job Description:

ü  Conduct transmission line route survey on the field

ü  Operate Total station, Global positioning system (GPS), Differential Geographical positioning System(DGPS) etc.

ü  Conduct route profiling

ü  read and interpret geographical drawings

ü  prepare a line drawing of proposed line path with survey data

ü  identify and mark the tower location, pit Marking, Angle Bisection, etc.

ü  Measure Grid level for contouring and prepare diagonal profile for Benching, Unequal Leg extension, raised chimney, etc.

ü  identify alternates routes to the tower location and suggest the best route as per requirements

ü  ensure compliance of statutory clearances such as sag, ground clearances, right of way etc. while Spotting the tower location

  ü prepare the final survey report.

SKILLS:

ü  Operation of GIS (geographic information system) technology and related terminology

ü  GIS software and survey equipment

ü  Elements of geological/topographical sheet/drawing

ü  Basic computer applications

ü  Common electricity terminology and correct interpretation of the same terminology: e.g. current, voltage, resistance, kilowatt(kW), kilowatt hour(kWh)

ü  importance of reporting problems of survey in a timely manner

ü  technical manuals blueprints, schematics, diagrams, plans, specifications

ü  time, material and equipment estimate needed to complete assignments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ü Safely transporting passengers onto vehicle

ü Ensuring to reach the destination on time by following the approved route.

ü Obeying and complying with all Traffic Rules as well as rules & regulation of Client.

ü Conducting regular maintenance checks of vehicle assigned and reporting any defect/default to the reporting officer

ü Keeping the vehicle in optimum condition

ü Keeping the vehicle hygenic and presentable

ü Keeping track of trip details, expenses and fuel usage

   ü Politely interacting with passengers and clients, if needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ü Collect and issue tickets, daily bus passes etc. and check the tickets issued previously. Manage the cash received from issuing tickets in safe custody.

ü Provide assistance to passengers with boarding, seating, and luggage as required, especially to elderly, sick, or differently abled people.

ü Ensuring vehicle doors are properly opened and closed for boarding passengers.

ü Inform passengers of upcoming bus stops and ensuring that driver stops vehicle on all designated bus stops.

ü Perform passenger safety checks prior to departure as per protocol.

ü Give timely signals to driver to stop or proceed with the vehicle.

ü Interact with passengers politely for boarding & transportation as well as guide the passengers about the routes and stops.

ü Keeping track of cash/trip details, tickets issued, prepare reports as per protocol.  Submitting cash at designated office/counter/reporting officer.

   ü  Ensuring that drive obeys / complies with all traffic rules as well as rules & regulation of Client.
