Looking for a compassionate and experienced shadow teacher to support an 8-year-old girl in Kochi, Kerala.
We’re seeking someone with a background in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work (MSW), or a related field. Experience working with children on the autism spectrum and/or with ADHD is preferred. The ideal candidate is patient, encouraging, and understands how to create a supportive learning environment tailored to her needs.
Provide consistent, individualized assistance to the 8-year-old student throughout the school day.
Help the student follow the classroom routine and stay engaged during lessons and activities.
Support the child with academic tasks such as reading, writing, math, and other subject areas, adapting material where needed.
Simplify or explain teacher instructions to improve comprehension.
Assist with transitions between tasks, classroom changes, or activities that might cause stress or confusion.
Encourage the child to participate in class discussions, group activities, and school events.
Monitor and guide the student's behavior using positive reinforcement techniques.
Help the child regulate emotions, manage frustration, and cope with anxiety or sensory sensitivities.
Use strategies such as visual schedules, timers, or calming techniques to support self-regulation.
Redirect inappropriate behavior in a gentle and consistent manner, aligned with the teacher’s behavior plan.
Encourage the student to complete tasks independently when appropriate, gradually reducing support over time.
Teach problem-solving skills and strategies to help the child make independent decisions.
Avoid over-assistance, allowing the student to experience success and build confidence.
Support the child in interacting positively with peers during group work, playtime, and collaborative learning.
Guide social interactions, model appropriate communication, and help resolve minor conflicts.
Foster inclusion in classroom and extracurricular activities to reduce social isolation.
Work closely with the classroom teacher to plan accommodations and adjustments to lessons or assignments.
Communicate regularly with school staff, therapists, and parents regarding the child’s progress, strengths, and areas of concern.
Participate in meetings or consultations with special educators, psychologists, or learning support teams.
Maintain written records or logs of observations, behavior patterns, and interventions used.
Create or modify learning materials to suit the child’s level and learning style.
Prepare visual aids, task breakdowns, or hands-on activities to reinforce learning.
Organize tools like sensory kits, timers, or focus aids to support classroom participation.

Daily Accounting Operations:
Record day-to-day financial transactions such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Maintain accurate records of cash, bank, and journal entries.
Prepare and update ledgers, vouchers, and supporting documents.
Banking and Reconciliation:
Monitor and manage bank accounts including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
