- Lead
and coordinate activities of the MEP (Electromechanical & Plumping)
Engineering teams
- Manage
a unit of individual teams in Electrical & Mechanical by establishing
appropriate work plans and priorities consistent with the overall
Engineering goals and targets.
- Work
closely with MEP team /consultants to integrate Mechanical Electrical
& Plumbing concepts suitable for the projects and reviews the
consultant outputs
- Act
as Liaison between Engineering Management and Facility Management Leaders
coordinating the efforts and work tasks for all MEP engineering works.
- Lead
and supervise MEP Engineering units and subunits work tasks that’s
classified into:
Electrical Power & systems (switchgear HV, switchgear LV, Transformers, Generators, Motors, Power Cables, UPS, etc), Air-conditioning (Chillers, AHU, FCU, Air Ducts etc), Utility Lines Networks (Potable Water, Fire Water, Chilled Water, Storm & Drainage, Fuels, etc) - Review
and approve the MEP engineering design, analysis, technical
specifications, Diagrams, design drawings and tender documents.
- Work
with management to assign, perform, oversee and schedule work tasks and
meet cost objectives.
- Provide
leadership to the MEP team and set performance standards.

Description of Roles and Responsibilities for the position of
DGM / GM / AVP (Projects)-Civil
1. Plans, directs, supervises, and controls overall project operations.
2. Assist in the preparation of Tenders and standardised tender templates.
3. Plans and organises contract and project management activities including planning, budgeting, and billing.
4. To organise work schedules, risk management, progress of certification and payment collections.
5. Review of Tender Documents.
6. Review all project management reports on a weekly basis in co-ordination with Project Manager and site team.
7. Review of certification of payment, Bill Abstract and all other bill related formats for various Contractor bills
8. Ensure site team timely does material reconciliations, monitor and control the material wastages at site.
9. Manage daily operations, including employee training and development, contract negotiations and project planning.
10. Maintain reports and records of the budgets and expenses of the projects.
11. Reviewing / developing operational process flows.
12. Responsible for managing all costs related to construction projects. Primarily estimate and monitor project costs, from the early design to the final construction stages.
13. Review of scope of work, project Preamble, Drawings and Specifications.
14. To work closely with project managers, site engineers and sub-contractors to ensure a project is cost-effective and meets quality standards.
15. Evaluation of Material Specification and Prices of Vendors /Subcontractors against Project Specifications.
16. Monitoring projects with respect to budgeted cost, demand forecasts, time over-runs to ensure timely execution of projects.
17. Coordinate technical and commercial meetings with site team and subcontractors.
18. Ensuring Quality and Safety Standard.
19. Assures all completed projects meet quality requirements in accordance with job specifications and scope.
20. Preparing MIS reports.
21. Regular visit to all sites.
22. Preparing deviation and variation statement for final payments of the Contractors.
23. Process implementation with periodic reviews and recommendations for process improvement for business effectiveness.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field,18-22 years of proven experience in Structures, Finishing, project management and commercial management.
2. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
3. Strong experience in Execution / Planning / Estimation & Costing.
4. A proven history of successful delivery of projects in Civil REAL ESTATE Industry with best practice.
5. Strong leadership skills, negotiation skills, exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
6. Experience in managing Company Asset material management & Wastage control systems.
7. Flexibility to manage several activities at one time.
8. Ability to integrate teams to work in complex cross-cultural environment.
