About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on, analytical and commercially oriented Finance professional to join our Finance team on a fixed-term contract.
The role will initially support the Finance function in areas including GST compliance, product costing, management reporting, reconciliations, audit support and other recurring finance activities.
The position is expected to work closely with the Finance Business Partnering team and business divisions. A strong performer may be considered for a longer-term role as the Finance organisation expands.
This is therefore an opportunity for a Finance professional who wants exposure beyond routine accounting and wishes to develop a broader understanding of manufacturing finance and business partnering.
Key Responsibilities
1. GST & Tax Compliance
Support monthly and periodic GST compliance activities.
Prepare and review GST reconciliations.
Coordinate with internal teams for data and documentation required for GST filings.
Support management of GST-related queries, notices and reconciliations.
Maintain appropriate records and documentation for tax compliance and audits.
Identify discrepancies and escalate potential tax risks to the Finance leadership team.
2. Product Costing - Ingredients Business
Prepare and maintain product costing and cost sheets.
Analyse raw material, packaging, conversion and other cost components.
Support standard costing / periodic costing updates.
Prepare cost variance analysis and identify key drivers.
Work with procurement, production and business teams to obtain relevant cost inputs.
Ensure costing data is accurate, timely and appropriately documented.
Support profitability analysis of products and customers.
