Key Responsibilities:
1. Geological site characterization: Conduct site investigations, geological mapping, prepare geotechnical investigation plans, and data collection to inform project design and development.
2. Geotechnical analysis: Analyze geological data to assess site conditions, rock mechanics, and potential geological hazards. Provide geotechnical inputs required for the designs.
3. Design and development: Collaborate with engineers to design and develop hydropower and PSP projects, support in layout finalization, ensuring geological and geotechnical considerations are integrated into project plans.
4. Risk assessment and mitigation: Identify and mitigate geological and geotechnical risks associated with project development and operation.
5. Collaboration and communication: Work with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
6. Clearances Support: Can coordinate with the appraisal agencies like CEA, CWC, GSI, CSMRS etc. for the clearance process of the DPR’s.
7 Education: Master’s degree in Geology, Engineering Geology.
