EXPEDITORS
The Commercial Employment Attorney will join a world-class legal department and devote time to a wide variety of labour and employment legal matters, primarily in the Asia Pacific and MAIR regions.
Primary responsibilities :
- Supporting and advising business teams, including executives, managers, employee relations, information services, and operations regarding compliance with existing and forthcoming labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Advising on issues such as discipline, non-competition, redundancies, leave, disability, contingent workers, equity, contractor management, occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination, wage and hour, and union/labor relations
- Drafting service provider, commission, non-compete, handbooks and policies, employment, and settlement agreements
- Conducting internal investigations
- Managing litigation, outside counsel, and budgets
- Travel: Expected 5% to 15%; Valid passport/authorized to travel internationally
