ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Accountant I, Fund Accounting, is responsible for supporting end‑to‑end financial accounting and reporting activities for funds and related entities with complex holding structures, including SPVs, property companies, and holding companies. The role focuses primarily on day‑to‑day accounting execution and preparation, supporting month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end processes under the guidance and review of senior team members. The position contributes to accurate financial records, timely reporting, and audit readiness while gaining exposure to NAVs, management accounts, intercompany processes, and fund‑level reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Day‑to‑Day Accounting Support: Perform routine accounting activities including processing bank statements, recording incoming and outgoing invoices, posting transactions, and preparing accruals and provisions in accordance with established procedures.
Schedules & Reconciliations: Prepare and maintain interest calculation schedules, amortization and depreciation schedules, month‑end balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations for review by senior team members.
Financial Reporting Preparation: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, NAV calculations, management accounts, cash flow statements, and quarterly NAV and FMV reports under supervision.
Intercompany & Administrative Support: Support intercompany settlement processes by preparing reconciliation details and assisting administration teams, and help compile financial data required for local tax filings (corporate income tax, GST) and lending bank information packages.
Audit & Ad‑Hoc Assistance: Assist with year‑end and audit processes by preparing working papers, internal and external reports, consolidation support schedules, and ad‑hoc reports or reconciliations as requested.
