Role Overview:
The Assistant Project Engineer will play a vital role in client coordination, communication, and liasoning for smooth execution of civil projects. The role requires ensuring alignment between client requirements and site execution teams, timely resolution of issues, and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, consultants, and statutory authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a primary point of contact between the client and internal project team.
• Understand client requirements, expectations, and communicate the same to project/site teams.
• Ensure timely reporting and updates to clients on project progress, milestones, and challenges.
• Coordinate client meetings, site visits, and prepare minutes of meetings (MoM).
• Liaison with consultants, vendors, and local authorities for approvals, inspections, and clearances.
• Support project planning and assist in aligning schedules with client commitments.
• Track and follow up on client queries, complaints, and ensure prompt resolutions.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation required for client communication.
• Escalate critical project or client-related issues to the Project Manager for timely intervention.
• Maintain a professional relationship with clients to ensure long-term engagement and satisfaction.
We are seeking experienced and qualified Assistant Project Engineers to support Civil Engineering activities in City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects. The selected candidates will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating the execution of civil and structural works at project sites in the North East region of India.
Assist in planning, execution, and monitoring of civil engineering works at the project site.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for timely completion of civil activities.
Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and escalate issues as needed.
Supervise the construction of foundations, structures, roads, and other civil utilities for hydrocarbon-related facilities.
Maintain documentation of all civil engineering activities and ensure adherence to best practices.
Core Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, key milestones, and activity sequencing.
Create, monitor, and update project schedules using software like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project to ensure timely completion.
Plan and allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and machinery, to optimize project efficiency.
Identify potential risks, develop and implement mitigation strategies, and create contingency plans to address delays and disruptions.
Assist in developing and managing project budgets and cost estimates.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure adherence to plans, and resolve issues as they arise.
Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and other engineering teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
Prepare and present project progress reports, analyses, and other relevant documents to management and stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Key Skills & Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is typically required.
Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is essential.
Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
Ability to analyze project data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions to complex problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder collaboration.
Meticulous and detail-oriented to manage project specifics and potential risks effectively.
Experience:
Min. 5 Years for B.Tech or Min. 10 Years for Diploma holders.
Area Of Experience:
Experience in work planning for construction work, preferably shall have working knowledge in planning applications like Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project.
