We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our fast-growing team and help scale the platform across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build and enhance RESTful APIs that power the LocalChef mobile and web apps.

• Integrate and manage Stripe for one-time payments, subscriptions, and refunds.

• Work with Nash Delivery API for logistics and automated order deliveries.

• Develop and manage user authentication systems using Spring Security and JWT.

• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of critical system components.

• Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to deliver high-impact features.

• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.

• Handle real-world challenges like order lifecycle management, subscription renewals, and payment reconciliation.

• Contribute to technical planning, architecture discussions, and roadmap building.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and REST API development.

• Experience with SQL databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Solid understanding of authentication mechanisms, particularly token-based authentication (JWT).

• Familiarity with Stripe APIs (Payments, Subscriptions) or similar payment platforms.

• Experience working with version control tools like Git.

• Ability to thrive in a startup environment: fast-paced, hands-on, self-driven.

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and Development

• • Design mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or CREO.
    

  • Develop prototypes and models to test design feasibility, functionality, and manufacturability.
    

  • Modify and improve existing mechanical systems based on performance data and user feedback.
    

2. Technical Analysis

• • Perform calculations and simulations to evaluate stress, strain, heat transfer, and fluid flow using tools like ANSYS, MATLAB, or CFD software.
    

  • Analyze design proposals and ensure they meet safety, performance, and durability criteria.
    

  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
    

3. Project Execution and Management

• • Participate in the planning and execution of mechanical projects from concept to completion.
    

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical, civil, and software engineers.
    

  • Prepare project timelines, material estimates, and technical documentation.
    

4. Testing and Quality Assurance

• • Conduct functional and performance testing on mechanical systems and components.
    

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
    

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, ASME, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
    

5. Manufacturing and Production Support

• • Assist in the selection of manufacturing methods, materials, and tools to improve production efficiency.
    

  • Provide engineering support during the manufacturing process, including assembly line design and equipment maintenance.
    

  • Optimize processes to reduce cost and improve quality and productivity.
    

6. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• • Support maintenance teams in resolving mechanical failures in machinery or systems.
    

  • Implement preventive maintenance plans and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
    

  • Recommend modifications or upgrades to improve equipment performance and reliability.
    

7. Documentation and Reporting

• • Prepare technical reports, user manuals, and maintenance guides.
    

  • Maintain detailed records of design modifications, test results, and inspection reports.
    

  • Present findings and updates to management or clients as required.
