We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our fast-growing team and help scale the platform across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and enhance RESTful APIs that power the LocalChef mobile and web apps.
Integrate and manage Stripe for one-time payments, subscriptions, and refunds.
Work with Nash Delivery API for logistics and automated order deliveries.
Develop and manage user authentication systems using Spring Security and JWT.
Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of critical system components.
Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to deliver high-impact features.
Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
Handle real-world challenges like order lifecycle management, subscription renewals, and payment reconciliation.
Contribute to technical planning, architecture discussions, and roadmap building.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and REST API development.
Experience with SQL databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Solid understanding of authentication mechanisms, particularly token-based authentication (JWT).
Familiarity with Stripe APIs (Payments, Subscriptions) or similar payment platforms.
Experience working with version control tools like Git.
Ability to thrive in a startup environment: fast-paced, hands-on, self-driven.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
