Design mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or CREO.
Develop prototypes and models to test design feasibility, functionality, and manufacturability.
Modify and improve existing mechanical systems based on performance data and user feedback.
Perform calculations and simulations to evaluate stress, strain, heat transfer, and fluid flow using tools like ANSYS, MATLAB, or CFD software.
Analyze design proposals and ensure they meet safety, performance, and durability criteria.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Participate in the planning and execution of mechanical projects from concept to completion.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical, civil, and software engineers.
Prepare project timelines, material estimates, and technical documentation.
Conduct functional and performance testing on mechanical systems and components.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, ASME, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the selection of manufacturing methods, materials, and tools to improve production efficiency.
Provide engineering support during the manufacturing process, including assembly line design and equipment maintenance.
Optimize processes to reduce cost and improve quality and productivity.
Support maintenance teams in resolving mechanical failures in machinery or systems.
Implement preventive maintenance plans and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
Recommend modifications or upgrades to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Prepare technical reports, user manuals, and maintenance guides.
Maintain detailed records of design modifications, test results, and inspection reports.
Present findings and updates to management or clients as required.

Job description
Responsibilities
1. The project will involve CAD design, prototype, 3D print and manufacturing
2. Work on designing and performing experiments, prior experience in SAE or BAHA will be preferred.
3. Work on testing the design concept by computerized modelling or physical hands-on testing of models
4. Interact with doctors and clients, as necessary to obtain critical design information necessary to complete a project within the intended time frame
5. Research materials and methods of development for different parts and applications according to the requirements
6. Source vendors & work on relationship management with different vendors and suppliers
